Whenever I hear the word “wardrobe” I immediately think of C.S. Lewis’s series The Chronicles of Narnia and specifically the scene when the Pevensie children find the wardrobe in the Professor’s house. I think of wonder and magic and delight and adventure.

Appropriately so, this wardrobe was the dress-up wardrobe in this house. And, boy oh boy, did it hold some magic! This mother of three realized that her girls were outgrowing some of these items both physically and mentally. Hocus Pocus, alakazam! Everything disappeared! The best part of this story is that when the wardrobe was emptied it was no longer needed. So it disappeared too! The girls now have room for a small desk that will serve them well as they like to draw and write and create.
