Donating and Disposing in the CSRA

Most items that you decide should leave your house are easy to either put in the trash, recycling, or send to any local donation location. Then there are the items that you would either rather go to a more specific use or need a specialized way to dispose of. This page has links for general donation sites, links for proper disposal of many kinds of waste, as well as specific items and how to either donate them or dispose of them.

This will be a growing list but please check with the individual locations before donating as businesses, services, and ministries may change their locations and practices before I can update this page.

Augusta, GA has a Waste Wizard website that will direct you to proper disposal of many types of items.
Columbia County, GA provides a list of acceptable items to dispose of and recycle.

How to Dispose of and Where to Donate Specific Items

American Flags
American flags have a special way in which to be cared for and disposed. American Legion, Evans, GA has a retiring flag dropbox that will provide this service for you.

Check with your local church to see if they accept bibles.
